What this mod does
True Mirror FOV changes how the ETS2 mirrors work so they resemble those of a real European truck. edkode has maintained it since 2019 and it has more than 390,000 subscribers on Steam; the latest update, from September 26, 2026, is a compatibility fix for 1.61.
What it changes
- The main mirrors become flat on both sides: an accurate, undistorted image for judging distances.
- The small convex mirrors show a wide-angle image to reduce blind spots.
- It also tweaks the field of view of the front and side mirrors, as well as their weight and on-screen height.
What to expect
With the flat mirror, you may not see the end of the trailer in tight turns. The author replies that the same happens in a real truck and that’s what the wide-angle mirror below is for. Some users say the result doesn’t look right with mirror cams.
Installation
It must go at the very top of the Mod Manager, above any other mod. Don’t combine it with other mirror mods, such as Realistic FOV Mirror: both modify the same thing. There’s also a version for American Truck Simulator.

Why can't I see the end of the trailer in tight turns?
