What this mod does
Realistic FOV Mirror is a small mod by Quper, the author of Realistic Economy, that tackles one of the things you notice most when driving in the cab: the mirrors. It readjusts their field of view (FOV) so what they reflect looks more like a real mirror and less like a stretched or fisheye image.
What it changes
- Mirror FOV parameters fine-tuned to reduce distortion.
- More natural reflections, in proportion to the surroundings.
- Since 2.0.0, a fix for raindrops on the mirrors and added levels of detail (LOD).
There’s nothing to configure: you enable it and the changes apply to the truck’s mirrors. The page doesn’t give a list of trucks, so it presumably affects mirrors in general.
Compatibility
Version 2.2, from July 4, 2026, was released as an update for 1.60. The author says it doesn’t clash with other popular mods; even so, if you use mods that change the mirrors or cameras of a specific truck, try adjusting the load order. With more than 4,000 downloads, it’s one of the most downloaded graphics mods in its category on TruckyMods, where the list of up-to-date mods is short.
