What this mod does
Spring is the spring season by Grimes, the same author behind New Summer and Frosty Winter. It fills Europe with blossoming trees and lush green. Version 6.7, from September 24, 2026, is updated for ETS2 1.61.
What it changes
- Spring weather, vegetation and lighting, with seasonal daylight hours and temperatures.
- More flowering plants and denser grass, visible from farther away and with less pop-in.
- Low-resolution trees replaced with high-resolution models, and new graphics in the older areas of the map.
- Improved rain, reflections on wet asphalt and sidewalks, and roads that take longer to dry.
Compatibility
It works with ProMods, other maps and all map DLCs. You need to disable any other weather or graphics mods: in the comments on his website, Grimes confirms that it conflicts with Snowy Moon. With combinations of several maps, some players see missing stretches of road; the author can’t reproduce it with ProMods alone.
Known issues
Some players find the fog in the rain too thick, especially in VR, and at certain junctions the road textures don’t match up; Grimes says the latter also happens on the base map. For older versions he keeps 6.6 (1.60), 6.5 (1.59) and 6.4 (1.58).

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the Spring page on Grimes' website.
- Choose the free download (ShareMods) or the ad-free $1 one.
- Copy spring_ets2_v6_7.scs to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- In the Mod Manager, place it at the very top and disable any other weather or graphics mods.
- Set vegetation and grass density to High and enable normal maps; if they were disabled, restart.

Does it work with ProMods?
Yes. The author lists it as compatible with ProMods, other maps and all map DLCs.
Can I use it with Snowy Moon?
No. Grimes explains that both work separately but conflict when used together.
Does it work on TruckersMP?
The author reminds you that on TruckersMP you can only use the mods the server allows.
