What this mod does

The Old Cowshed by [DMI]20mmNormandy is an old cow barn, built around 1980 according to the mod page, for traditional-looking farms.

In-game stats

• Upkeep: $70 per day.

How it works

• Food and straw go in through the center aisle.
• Milk is collected at the front; the milking area isn’t accessible.
• Slurry is collected at the back.
• It has no manure heap.
• You can spread straw to simulate filling the stalls, although it isn’t visible.

What it does for your farm

It’s a medium-sized barn, ideal for getting started with cows without a big investment while keeping an old-fashioned look. Since it has no manure heap, the straw you put in doesn’t turn into solid manure, so plan on slurry as the barn’s only fertilizer.

Usage tips

Leave room at the front for the milk tanker and at the back for the slurry tanker. Version 1.1 added multiplayer support and fixed collisions. It needs no other mods or DLC, weighs about 11 MB and works on PC and consoles.

How to install it

1. Download it from the official ModHub (link on this page) or search for "Old Cowshed" in the in-game Mods menu, on PC or console.
2. If you download it manually on PC/Mac, copy FS22_1970sCowshed.zip (do not unzip it) into the mods folder: Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2022 > mods.
3. Enable the mod when you create or load your savegame.
4. Place it from the construction menu, in the animals section, and buy up to 35 cows.
