What this mod does
Bronze & Coal & Onyxium Crafting expands Hytale’s progression with ores and crafting, without command-based economies or level systems. It’s made by TheFokysnik, it’s open source under the MIT license, and version 2.9, released October 20, 2026, is built for Hytale 0.7.2.
What it adds
- Bronze tier: weapons, armor and tools crafted from copper and tin, such as the bronze pickaxe, axe, shovel, helmet, chestplate or sword.
- Craftable onyxium: a full set of gear made from the onyxium ore you mine deep underground.
- Tin and coal veins in several rock types.
- Auto-lighting: furnaces light up on their own when they have fuel and the right materials.
The Update 7 version
Version 2.9 raises the minimum to Hytale 0.7.2 and moves ore generation to the game’s new chunk system: veins can now spawn across the full width of a chunk. It also stops shipping old biome files, so it doesn’t override the game’s generation or other mods’.
It doesn’t need any plugins. The ores only spawn in new chunks, so in an existing world you’ll have to explore. To know where to look, check out the ores guide.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on CurseForge and click Install, or download BronzeOnyxiumCrafting-2.9.jar from the Files tab (the file tagged 0.7).
- If you install it manually, copy the .jar, without unzipping it, into your mods folder: on Windows %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods (on a server, its mods folder) and restart.
- Enable the mod in the world settings.
- Explore new areas to find tin and coal, and head deep underground for onyxium.
- Craft the bronze and onyxium gear at the matching crafting benches.

Yes, but the new ores only generate in chunks that don't exist yet. Explore new areas.
