What this mod does

Forgotten Creatures, by PedriJoe, brings back creatures and items that Hypixel left inside Hytale’s files without enabling them in the base game. Since it uses the game’s own models, textures and animations, everything fits the vanilla style: they look like enemies and neighbors that were always there.

Creatures it adds

  • Zone 1: Bramblekin shaman and mushee in the autumn and blue forests; golden Trork, ghouls and armed aberrant zombies in the swamps.
  • Zone 2: the Slothians, a savanna tribe with seven variants (child, villager, elder, scout, monk, warrior and common).
  • Zone 3: the Shadow Knight, a rare and powerful undead from the glacial area, and two peaceful constructs, the grooble and the mannequin, in the tundra.
  • Zone 4: the Saurians, reptilian jungle hunters immune to void damage, and red and magma ghouls in the wastelands and volcanoes.
  • At night, in Zones 1 to 3, a void necromancer can appear and vanish at dawn.

Gear

The mod adds the Bramblekin set (hood, tunic and wraps), of rare quality and roughly copper tier, made from the shaman’s gear.

Version

1.2.7 (August 27, 2026) updated it for 0.6 and 1.3.1 (October 1) is the current one. It integrates automatically with the Champions and Mob Events mods if you have them. It’s for anyone who already knows Orbis well and wants to run into new creatures that don’t feel out of place.

Update (Oct 12, 2026): with Update 7 (0.7) now out, the author has already published a compatible file: version 1.3.2 (October 12, 2026). What’s described on this page was checked with the previous version; review the author’s changelog in case anything has changed.

Highlights and things to keep in mind

Highlights
  • More than a dozen new creatures with a 100% vanilla look
  • Spreads content across all four zones, including the endgame
  • Frequent updates: the latest is from October 1, 2026
Keep in mind
  • The page doesn't detail the Bramblekin set recipe or all the loot
  • Since it uses unfinished game content, some creatures may behave oddly
  • Update 7 (0.7) already has a compatible file from the author (October 12, 2026)

Requirements

  • Hytale (Early Access) on PC, version 0.7 (file PJ-ForgottenCreatures-1.3.2.zip)
  • No dependencies: doesn't need any other mods
  • Optional: Champions and Mob Events, which it integrates with automatically

How to install it

  1. Open the Forgotten Creatures page on CurseForge and click Install to install it with the CurseForge app, or download PJ-ForgottenCreatures-1.3.2.zip from the Files tab.
  2. If you download it manually, copy the .zip as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
  3. Open Hytale, right-click the world, check Forgotten Creatures in the mod list and save the world settings.
  4. On a dedicated server, place the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
  5. Explore the zones listed to find the creatures: each one spawns in its biome, and some only at night.

Common problems

I can't find the new creatures

Each one spawns in a specific zone and biome (for example, the Slothians in the Zone 2 savanna or the Shadow Knight in the glacial area of Zone 3). The void necromancer only comes out at night.

Does it use models from other games?

No. According to the author, it enables content that's already in Hytale's files, with the game's own models, textures and animations.

Do I need Champions or Mob Events?

No. They're optional: if you have them installed, the mod integrates with them automatically.
