What this mod does
Quest & Request Boards adds two boards for SMP and roleplay servers, tied to the physical coin economy of Coins & Markets, by the same author.
The two boards
- Request Board (for players): you post a request with an item, quantity and reward; whoever delivers it gets paid on the spot and the materials land in a 36-slot mailbox. If the mailbox fills up, deliveries are blocked, but nothing is lost.
- Quest Board (for admins): one-time or repeatable quests, with a per-player cooldown, that can run commands on completion, for example to give coins or a rank.
Economy and permissions
Coins are held in escrow when the request is created and every transaction is atomic: either everything goes through or nothing happens. A request can have several copies, but each player can only complete one per cooldown. The config lives in quest_request_boards.json (changes apply on restart) and includes board limits, optional fees and permissions handled either by the mod itself or through LuckPerms, which is optional. The mod doesn’t ship with any quests: the server owner creates them.

Version 2.0.4, from October 12, 2026, is the release for 0.7. The author makes it clear that real money is never involved.

Requirements
- Hytale (Early Access) on a server or multiplayer world, version 0.7 (file QuestRequestBoards-2.0.4.jar)
- Coins & Markets [Physical Economy Series] (required)
- Optional: LuckPerms for strict permissions
How to install it
- Open the Quest & Request Boards page on CurseForge and click Install to set it up with the CurseForge app, or download QuestRequestBoards-2.0.4.jar from the Files tab (the file marked 0.7).
- If you download it manually, copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
- Also install Coins & Markets the same way (it's required).
- Open Hytale, right-click the world, check Quest & Request Boards in the mod list and save the world settings.
- On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
- After the first launch, adjust quest_request_boards.json (permissions, limits, fees) and restart the server.

Common problems
Does it work without Coins & Markets?
No. It's a required dependency: the coins and their conversion come from that mod.
Does it come with ready-made quests?
No. Admins create the quests and players create their own requests.
Do I need LuckPerms?
No. By default it uses a config-based permissions mode; LuckPerms is optional for stricter control.
Does it use real money?
No. The author is clear about it: in-game coins only.
