What this mod does

Voile is an in-game wiki for Hytale, a spiritual successor to Patchouli (Minecraft). Players can look up how installed mods work without leaving their save, and server owners can write their own wiki with rules, guides or commands.

How to use it

/voile, /docs or /wiki open the interface.
/voile-reload reloads the config and the text.
Pages are written in Markdown; the guide to creating them and adding support for a mod is at docs.voile.dev.

Compatible mods

It integrates the Hytale Modding wiki and mods like Wan’s Wonder Weapons and Endgame & QoL. It’s also listed as an optional dependency of Alec’s Animal Husbandry, Alec’s Tamework, Aetherhaven and Mermaids and Mythical Creatures.

Permissions and version

By default any player can use /voile; on servers with permissions, the node is iwakuraenterprises.voile.command.voile. Version 1.11.5 (August 29, 2026) is compatible with Hytale 0.6.x and applies the voileCommandRequiresPermission option without restarting.

This page has been checked with Hytale 0.6 (Update 6). With Update 7 (0.7), released on October 12, 2026, the author has already published a compatible file: version 1.11.6 (October 12, 2026).

No required dependencies (Kytale is optional)

How to install it

Download voile-1.11.6.jar from the Files tab of Voile on CurseForge (the file tagged 0.7), or click Install to use the CurseForge app.
For a dedicated server, stop it and copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the server's mods folder; then start it.
For a single-player world, copy it to %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods and enable it in the world settings (right-click the world, mod list).
In game, type /voile (or /docs, /wiki) to open the wiki; to create your own pages, follow the guide at docs.voile.dev and reload with /voile-reload.

Common problems

Which mods have Voile pages?

The mod page lists Wan's Wonder Weapons, Endgame & QoL, Zet's Mystic Weapons, Hyboards and Not Enough Gliders, among others, plus the Hytale Modding wiki.

Can I make my server's wiki?

Yes. Pages are written in Markdown; the official documentation explains how to create topics and reload them with /voile-reload.

Players can't open /voile on my server. What do I do?

Give them the iwakuraenterprises.voile.command.voile permission, for example to the Adventure group with /perm group add Adventure iwakuraenterprises.voile.command.voile.
