What this mod does
Simple Enchantments brings a full enchanting system to Hytale. You craft an enchanting table, create scrolls with essences, crystals and other materials, and apply them by right-clicking on your weapons, tools or armor pieces.
Which enchantments there are
- Melee combat: sharpness, life steal, burn, freeze, knockback and poison.
- Tools: efficiency, fortune, auto-smelt and more.
- Armor: general, projectile and environmental protection, feather falling on boots, water breathing or night vision.
- Bows and crossbows, shields (reflect and absorption), looting, durability and more, for over thirty in total.
Progression
To craft the table you need a fully upgraded Workbench, and scrolls unlock across four tiers. Enchanted items glow (this can be turned off), and an engraving table lets you rename them and change the color of that glow. If you also use Perfect Parries, exclusive enchantments like Riposte are added.
Languages and configuration
The mod is translated into 10 languages besides English, including Spanish, and uses your system language by default. In the config you can disable enchantments, limit how many each item can have or change the scroll materials. Version 1.2.0 is released for Hytale 0.6.
Update (Oct 12, 2026): with Update 7 (0.7) now out, the author has already released a compatible file: version 1.2.1 (October 12, 2026). What’s described on this page was tested with the previous version; check the author’s changelog in case anything has changed.

Requirements
- Hytale (Early Access) on PC, version 0.7 for version 1.2.0 of the mod
- Enable the mod in the world settings or install it on the server
- Optional: Perfect Parries for the crossover enchantments
How to install it
- Open the Simple Enchantments page on CurseForge and click Install to install it with the CurseForge app, or download the .jar file from the Files tab.
- If you download it manually, copy the file into the mods folder: on Windows %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
- Open Hytale, right-click the world where you want to use it, check Simple Enchantments in the mod list and click Save World Settings.
- On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
- In game, fully upgrade the Workbench and craft the enchanting table to start creating scrolls.

Common problems
I can't craft the enchanting table
You need a fully upgraded Workbench; the table doesn't show up before that.
Is it in Spanish?
Yes. The author lists 10 languages (with machine translations for the ones they don't speak), and the language list in their repository includes es-ES. It's chosen based on your system language.
The Durability enchantment does nothing
It doesn't work if you have SimpleStackSizeManager or any mod that disables durability.
Do I need Dynamic Tooltips Lib?
It was only needed up to version 1.0.0. Since 1.1.0 it's no longer required.
