What this mod does
Mizu’s Goose adds geese to Stardew Valley as another coop animal. It’s by MizuJakkaru, the author of several popular animals, and version 1.2.8, released September 16, 2026, works with 1.6. It’s already used by 17 mods from other authors.
How they work
- You buy them from Marnie once you have a Big Coop.
- They lay a goose egg every three days and, at high friendship, drop down.
- Their eggs make goose mayonnaise.
- They come in white and gray; brown and wild are turned on in the config.
Options
With Generic Mod Config Menu you can enable a golden goose that lays golden eggs (its eggs show up in Qi’s Walnut Room after Perfection, or in Marnie’s shop with the alternate option) along with golden mayonnaise. If you use Animal Husbandry, the optional file adds three goose meat recipes plus a fourth that’s disabled by default; there’s also an option to remove the meat recipes. With Cornucopia, some ingredients change.
It requires Extra Animal Configs, which lets geese use the coop’s small door. There’s a Spanish translation by Hayato2236.

Requirements

How to install it
- First install SMAPI, Content Patcher and Extra Animal Configs (see their mod pages or links) and launch the game once with SMAPI.
- Open the Mizu's Goose page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Mizu's Goose 1.2.8). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder inside the game folder.
- Optional: if you use Animal Husbandry, also download the Mizu's Goose - Animal Husbandry file; if you want to play in Spanish, install Hayato2236's translation.
- Launch the game with SMAPI, build a Big Coop and buy the geese from Marnie.

Where do I buy the geese?
From Marnie, once you have a Big Coop.
What happens if I uninstall it?
The geese and their products turn into Error Items. If you reinstall it, they come back.
