What this mod does
Walk Of Life, by Arleau, completely overhauls the Farming, Foraging, Mining, Fishing and Combat professions. Level 5 professions give a small edge; level 10 ones add a major new mechanic.
What it changes
- Prestige professions: after Mastery, levels 11 to 20 unlock, with new choices at 15 and 20.
- Special combat abilities (Limit Breaks) and, disabled by default, a profession reset at the Statue of Transcendence for 10,000, 50,000 and 100,000 gold.
- New mechanics for animals, fish ponds, slimes or artisan goods, plus tweaks like large eggs and milk that double the mayonnaise or cheese.
Requirements and compatibility
It requires SMAPI, DaLionheart and SpaceCore. The main file is 1.5.0-Beta4 (September 2, 2026, 13.9 MB), a beta with lots of changes; the stable 1.4.2 is still under Old files. It needs 1.6.9 or later.
According to the author it should work in multiplayer, but not on Android. It’s fully compatible with Stardew Valley Expanded. It conflicts with Vanilla Plus Professions, Skill Prestige and other profession or level mods. There are Spanish translations on Nexus.

Requirements
- Stardew Valley 1.6.9 or later (PC; doesn't work on Android)
- SMAPI 4.3.2 or later
- DaLionheart and SpaceCore
How to install it
- First install SMAPI and SpaceCore (see their mod pages) and launch the game once with SMAPI.
- Download DaLionheart from its Nexus page and install it in the Mods folder.
- Open the Walk Of Life page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Walk Of Life (Beta) 1.5.0-Beta4; the stable 1.4.2 is under Old files). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder inside the game folder.
- Read the changelog before updating a save and launch the game with SMAPI to check that there are no red errors.

Common problems
Does it work on Android?
No. The author states that it doesn't work on Android.
Can I use it with Skill Prestige or other profession mods?
It's not recommended: the author warns of conflicts with Skill Prestige, All Professions, Vanilla Plus Professions and mods that extend levels.
Is it available in Spanish?
There are two Spanish translations published separately on Nexus.
