What this mod does

Woodlore Expanded is an expansion focused on forests and wood, released by Latteholn on August 31, 2026 and updated on October 19 (version 1.0.7). It adds areas, NPCs, machines and a chapter-based story without touching the base game’s structure.

What it adds

  • Trees: walnut, Douglas fir, black spruce and cypress, which give softwood or hardwood logs.
  • Crafting: a sawmill, a wood-drying kiln, a candle workshop, paper (from two pulp in the Recycling Machine), mulch, lanterns and salves.
  • Artisan goods: planks, walnut oil, resins and scented candles that give buffs if you stay nearby.
  • NPCs and places: Boue the beaver and Musk the hedgehog run shops; there’s a new riverside in the northeast of town, a forest and a lookout tower.
  • Farm: a sawmill building, cargo contracts on a train that comes through on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and a field journal with five chapters.

Compatibility and Spanish

It works with Stardew Valley Expanded, but not with Seven Deadly Sins or other mods that change the northeast of town. Since 1.0.6 it’s Android-compatible and the sawmill works with Automate. There are two Spanish translations on Nexus: one for Spain (Baltrolt) and one for Latin America (Eli0630).

Highlights and things to keep in mind

Highlights
  • Lots of new content built around wood
  • A journal with five chapters and quests
  • Compatible with SVE, Automate and Android
  • Two Spanish translations
Keep in mind
  • Incompatible with Seven Deadly Sins and other mods that touch the northeast of town

Requirements

  • Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC; tagged as Android-compatible)
  • SMAPI 4.x
  • Content Patcher

How to install it

  1. First install SMAPI and Content Patcher (see their mod pages) and launch the game once with SMAPI to check that everything loads.
  2. Open the Woodlore Expanded page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Woodlore Expanded). You need a free Nexus account to download.
  3. Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder inside the game folder.
  4. If you want to play in Spanish, install Baltrolt's translation (Spain) or Eli0630's (Latin America) following its instructions.
  5. Launch the game with SMAPI. On an existing save, the author suggests (optionally) using a terrain reset mod first so the trees spawn properly.
