What this mod does
Kid’s Treehouse, by Xiddav, is a small, charming mod: it adds a treehouse right in Pelican Town, in the big tree in front of the Community Center. It’s a little hideout for the town’s kids, with books, toys and something to snack on.
What it adds
- A treehouse with its own interior, redone in version 1.7.0.
- A schedule option so Jas and Vincent go there to play on Mondays.
- An option to choose the interior layout: the normal one or an empty one.
- Translations into several languages, including Spanish since 1.7.1.
Requirements and compatibility
It requires SMAPI, Content Patcher and Xiddav’s Tilesheet, by the same author. Version 1.7.1 (August 23, 2026) weighs just 13 KB, and the page marks it as compatible with 1.6. Since it modifies the town map, it may clash with mods that change that area; the page lists no known conflicts and there are no open bugs on its bugs tab.
It’s a nice addition to mods that bring the kids to life, such as Community Center Reimagined, which turns the Community Center into a school. The page doesn’t mention multiplayer or mobile.

How to install it
- Install SMAPI and Content Patcher first (see their mod pages) and launch the game once with SMAPI to check that everything loads.
- Install Xiddav's Tilesheet from Nexus.
- Open the Kid's Treehouse page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Kid's Tree-house 1.7.1). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
- Launch the game once with SMAPI and, if you want Jas and Vincent to visit on Mondays, turn on that schedule option in config.json.
