What this mod does

Downtown Zuzu takes you to Zuzu City, the big city your character comes from at the start of the game. It’s the work of the Zuzu Development Team, and its author still considers it an early beta, but it’s already one of the game’s most ambitious expansions.

What it adds

  • The city, with its bus station, Joja headquarters, mall, pizzeria, nightclub, sewers, apartments and train station.
  • Kahuna Resort, an airport, crystal, lava and water caves, the Zuzu forest and an oasis.
  • NPCs such as Gio, Max, Hazel, Selena, Sadie, Gwen, Cal, David and Kristoff, with heart events; Cal and David are marriageable.
  • More than 20 original music tracks, moving cars, an apartment you can buy and furnish, and the Zuzu Block Party festival.

Requirements and compatibility

It requires SMAPI, Content Patcher, Custom Companions, Farm Type Manager, SpaceCore, Mail Framework Mod and BusLocations. Version 0.9.4 (November 7, 2024, 111.7 MB) is presented as compatible with 1.6.9, and its changelog says it fixes 1.6.11 and later. The authors state it’s compatible with SVE, Ridgeside and East Scarp.

Since it’s a beta, some areas are unfinished, such as the university interior, and there are open bugs. There’s a community Spanish translation for 1.6 on Nexus.
