What this mod does
The Austin Mini Cooper S was an unlikely hero of 1960s touring car racing: tiny, front-wheel drive and with far less power than its rivals, but so light and nimble that it could take them on at twisty tracks. Pessio, author of the Abarth 1000 TCR and the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona for EVO, says this Mini was the car he started modding with in the original Assetto Corsa, and now he’s bringing it to EVO in its Group 2 version.
What’s included
- The complete Mini Cooper S Group 2, according to the author.
- Several color schemes with a customizable race number.
- Physics consistent with the rest of the game’s classics.
Who it’s for
If you like small vintage cars, where you gain time by carrying corner speed rather than through raw power, this Mini is a blast on narrow layouts. It pairs well with the same author’s Abarth 1000 TCR for classic touring car races.
Version
It’s 1.0, released in late September 2026. The first reviews give it five stars, although one player reports a small sound click every few seconds.
