What this mod does

The Cupra León Competición is the front-wheel-drive touring car Cupra developed from the León for the TCR regulations. This mod comes from Trained Monkey Modding, the team of Roman «Fuzo» Fusaty, and it’s the second version of the car: the first one reproduced the 2020 spec, and this one was updated to the 2022 spec with a revised model, physics and bug fixes.

What’s included

  • 29 real and fictional liveries from WTCR, TCR Europe and Eastern European championships between 2020 and 2022.
  • A scripted dashboard with four pages: race, brake bias, pit limiter and launch control (it limits the engine to 5,200 rpm at the start).
  • Dry and wet engine maps, plus fog lights, wipers and turn signals that you can map to buttons.
  • Suspension and aero tuned with data from the real car, and Kumho tires from the 2022 season.

Who it’s for

If you enjoy touring car racing with lots of contact and late braking, it’s one of the most polished free TCR cars. The team worked with FULLINRACE Academy, which races in TCR Eastern Europe, and got feedback from drivers on other TCR teams to fine-tune the handling.

Version

Version 2.1 (February 2023) added the LUA dashboard, reworked the interior sound and fixed the differential and clutch. The car doesn’t work without Custom Shaders Patch.

Common problems

The car won't load or kicks me back to the menu

Check that Custom Shaders Patch is enabled and up to date; the car doesn't work without it.

How do I switch dashboard pages?

With the Extra buttons you map in the Assetto Corsa controls; one of the pages is launch control.

Is it the same car as the 2021 Cupra León Competición?

No. It's a new version from the same team with the 2022 spec, revised physics and more liveries; the 2021 one is still on a separate OverTake page.
