What this mod does
This mod puts a racing lawn mower into Assetto Corsa, based on the Honda HF2620 and painted like the Honda Racing (Team Dynamics) cars from the British Touring Car Championship. Its author, garyjpaterson, says it started as a five-day personal challenge to see what he could pull off in so little time. It’s rated 4.97 out of 5 with more than 137,000 downloads.
What’s included
- Model, textures and physics by the author himself; the sound is by Modek, taken from the Dallara.
- Over 100 hp for about 200 kg with the driver: according to the author it’s twitchy and bounces a lot, but it’s drivable.
- Since 0.95: LODs, tire and headlight textures, wheel blur, glowing brakes, spinning blades, analog gauges and an optional MoTeC display.
- A longer reverse gear for reverse races.
Who it’s for
For having a laugh with friends or breaking up the race car routine. Russell Sobie released two packs of Honda Racing-inspired liveries that the author recommends.
Version
Version 0.95 (March 2018) was a complete physics and graphics overhaul, with the model 8.5% bigger and revised AI that’s still slow. The author asks that you don’t reupload or modify it without his permission.

How to install it
- Go to the lawn mower page on OverTake.gg and sign in.
- Download the file (about 49 MB).
- Drag it into Content Manager and install it, or copy the vehicle folder into assettocorsa/content/cars.
- Find it in the car list as Honda Racing Lawn Mower.

Is it a serious mod?
It's a joke project, but it has its own physics, LODs and working gauges since version 0.95.
Can I race against the AI?
Yes, although the author himself warns that the AI is still slow.
Why does it sound like a formula car?
The sound is by Modek and was taken from the Dallara; the author admits it doesn't quite fit.
