What this mod does
Thornton Park is a fictional Assetto Corsa track designed by je5 as if it were an FIA Grade 1 circuit. It’s inspired by Thornton, a village in West Yorkshire (UK): the layout runs past the Thornton Viaduct, a listed former railway bridge, and nods to the Brontë sisters, with a hairpin at the top of Squirrel Hill and the Bell Chapel recreated next to the pit exit. The village itself isn’t included.
Track facts
- 5,492 meters long and between 12 and 12.8 meters wide.
- 36 pit boxes.
- A main Grade 1 layout and, since 1.1.0, an alternative Grade 2 layout with a much faster “Junction” chicane.
- DRS zones and wider 3D scenery for VR, added in 1.1.1.
- CSP extras: digital flags, screens, animations, pit crews and even fish and chips stands.
Who it’s for
It’s designed for Formula 1 cars, but it also suits prototypes and GT3s. It has fast, flowing corners with varying camber and surface. Some reviewers note that the GT3 AI struggles in certain corners; the author is looking into it.
How it was made
Almost everything is modeled from scratch in Rhino 8, with sand, asphalt and tree textures from the base game. It’s distributed under the GNU GPL license for non-commercial use.

Common problems
Is it a real track?
No. It's a fictional circuit inspired by the village of Thornton and its viaduct, which do exist.
What's the difference between the two layouts?
The Grade 2 layout swaps one chicane for a much faster one, the “Junction”, and works better with cars that have less braking power.
Does it have DRS?
Yes. DRS zones arrived with version 1.1.1.
