What this mod does
Apple Maps Navigation (Base) is a mod by Lism that gives American Truck Simulator’s navigation the look of Apple Maps. It changes the GPS and world map icons and serves as the base for the author’s color modules. It has over 25,000 subscribers.
How it works
- The base changes the icons; colors and background stay as they are in the game unless you install a module.
- There are four optional modules, and you should pick one: light or dark mode, with a normal or green background.
- If you enable several modules, only the one with the highest priority counts.
- The Siri voice is no longer part of the mod.
Load order
From top to bottom: your chosen color module, the map background (if you use one), this base and, last, any map mods. Place it above other dashboard or navigation mods.
Compatibility
The author lists compatibility with 1.61 and all map DLCs; the latest update is from September 20, 2026. ATS Expansion works out of the box. ProMods Canada, Reforma, Coast to Coast and Beyond need a ProMods background placed above. It’s optional in Convoy and doesn’t work on TruckersMP. It’s about 3 MB.

Requirements
- American Truck Simulator 1.61 or later
- A Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
- Optional: one of the author's color modules (light or dark)
- With ProMods Canada, Reforma, Coast to Coast or Beyond: a ProMods map background
How to install it
- Open the “Apple Maps Navigation (Base)” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe.”
- If you want to change the colors, also subscribe to one of the modules in the author's collection.
- Launch American Truck Simulator and go to the Mod Manager.
- Order from top to bottom: color module, map background (if you use one), the base and map mods.
- Load your save and open the GPS or the map to see the new icons.
Common problems
Do I need the modules?
No. Without a module, the icons change and the game's colors stay the same.
Does it work with Reforma or ProMods Canada?
Yes, but you need a ProMods map background placed above it.
Can I use it in multiplayer?
It's optional in Convoy; it doesn't work on TruckersMP.
