ATS LKA Controller Mod (steadier lane assist) for American Truck Simulator

What this mod does

ATS LKA Controller Mod, by RogueHunter13, tweaks American Truck Simulator’s Lane Keep Assist. The goal is to make the assist steadier above about 75 mph (about 120 km/h) without losing responsiveness at low speed.

What changes

• Adjusts lateral steering sensitivity to reduce wobbling in curves.
• It only changes the steering and the assist’s behavior; it doesn’t touch truck or trailer physics.
• One user says they can now use the assist in curves without correcting with the wheel or controller.

Recommended settings

The author recommends having Steam Input enabled, the steering sensitivity multiplier at 100 and non-linearity at 0.

Multiplayer and version

It’s meant for single-player or Convoy, as long as every player has it enabled. It was released on January 4, 2026 and last updated the next day, in the 1.57 era. The author doesn’t list a game version or confirm later versions, so if you notice odd steering behavior after an ATS update, disable it. It only affects trucks that have lane assist.

Requirements

• American Truck Simulator 1.57 or later (the author doesn't list a version)
• A truck with Lane Keep Assist
• No DLC

How to install it

1. Open the “ATS LKA Controller Mod” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
2. Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
3. Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable “ATS LKA Controller Mod”.
4. In the controls options, enable Steam Input, set steering sensitivity to 100 and non-linearity to 0.
5. In Convoy, make sure every player has the mod enabled.
