What this mod does
ATS Tire Stats (formerly “ATS Default Tire Stats”), by Spud, brings back something American Truck Simulator lacks: different stats for each tire type, ETS2-style. In the base game it doesn’t matter which tire you pick; with this mod each one has pros and cons.
What it adds
Three properties: rolling resistance, wet grip and noise. The three basic tire types end up like this:
- Dynamix (level 0): all-round and balanced, equal to or better than ETS2’s stock tires.
- Roadmaster (level 5): very low rolling resistance, but worse in the rain.
- Vortex (level 5): more rolling resistance, better traction in wet and cold conditions.
Wheel Tuning Pack
Version 2.0 adds support for the Wheel Tuning Pack DLC, only if you own it: the Heavy Duty tires give the best wet grip with the worst rolling resistance, and the wide and super single tires sit between their dual equivalents and the regular ones. It doesn’t touch the tires from the Goodyear and Michelin packs.
Compatibility and issues
Any mod that edits tire data will probably conflict with this one. The trailer super singles have an abnormally small diameter and may cause glitches. The latest update is from March 2026 (1.58), but the author says it should work on any version as long as SCS doesn’t change the tire system.

Common problems

No. If you own it, the mod also gives stats to its tires.

No, and according to the author there's no conflict with those packs.
Which tire should I use?
Roadmaster rolls better in the dry; Vortex grips more in rain and cold; Dynamix is the balanced one.
Does it work on 1.61?
The author says it should work on any version as long as SCS doesn't change the tires.
