What this mod does
Jazzycat’s Bus Traffic Pack adds new buses to American Truck Simulator traffic. It’s not a bus you can drive: these are vehicles that move around you and make roads and cities look more varied.
What it does
- Adds new buses to AI-controlled traffic.
- It’s standalone: it doesn’t replace any of the game’s vehicles.
- Works with any map, including mod maps.
- Compatible with Jazzycat’s other traffic packs.
Buses in ATS: what you should know
ATS has no passenger mode or drivable coaches, and SCS has only announced the Coaches DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. The buses you can buy at a dealer are community mods. Many are distributed through third-party links or are conversions from other simulators, so check the source carefully before installing them. This pack doesn’t have that problem: the author publishes and updates it himself.
Version
Version 1.4.26 was released as a compatibility update for ATS 1.61. It’s a lightweight mod (about 6 MB), and Jazzycat has maintained it for years, game version after game version.
It’s for you if you want to see more buses on the highways and in the cities of the US, Canada or Mexico.

How to install it
- Go to Jazzycat's page on ModLand and download the pack's .scs file.
- Copy the file to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- Open the game and enable Bus Traffic Pack by Jazzycat in the Mod Manager.
- If you use other Jazzycat traffic packs, keep them together in the load order.
- Load your profile and drive through a city or highway to see the new buses.
Common problems
Can I drive these buses?
No. They're traffic vehicles. To drive a coach in ATS you need a separate bus mod.
Does it work with maps like Reforma or Coast to Coast?
The author says it works with any map.
Is it compatible with other traffic packs?
With Jazzycat's, yes. With packs by other authors, try adjusting the load order if you notice vehicles disappearing.
