What this mod does
Illinois Tollway I-PASS Transponder is a small mod by TheSimGuy (Tedeschi Studio) for anyone driving around Illinois. It replaces the generic toll transponder SCS puts on truck windshields with an I-PASS device, the Illinois Tollway’s electronic toll collection system.
What changes
- Only the look of the in-cab transponder; it doesn’t touch tolls, routes or the economy.
- Compatible with every official SCS truck, according to the author.
- Made for I-90 and I-294 routes in the Chicago area.
Version
It was released on May 13, 2026 as version 8.70 for 1.59. It hasn’t been updated since; as it’s just an interior texture, it should normally keep working, although the Mod Manager may show a version warning.
Who it’s for
One user says they use it with the Illinois DLC for a Chicago-based company. If your company is based in another state, you may prefer the SCS transponder. The author also created the Mod Marker divider series for organizing the Mod Manager.
Unofficial fan-made mod. Names, logos and liveries belong to their respective owners; neither the author nor Holymod is affiliated with them.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the “Illinois Tollway I-PASS Transponder (ATS 1.59)” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable “Illinois Tollway I-PASS Transponder (ATS 1.59)”.
- Get into any SCS truck that has a toll transponder: you'll see the I-PASS instead of the generic one.

Does it change anything about tolls?
No. It only replaces the look of the in-cab transponder.
