What this mod does
Jon Ruda’s Pete 362 Cabover is a paid recreation of the Peterbilt 362, Peterbilt’s classic truck with the cab over the engine (cabover). It’s a fully standalone truck: it doesn’t replace any SCS truck.
What’s included
- 9 chassis in 4×2, 6×4, 8×4 and 8×6.
- 362 cabs (110″, 90″, 82″, 76″ and 63″ DayCab) and 362E cabs (110″, 90″, 82″ and 76″).
- High-quality exterior and interior, with a fully animated interior.
- Engines and sounds by Kapitan Kriechbaum, plus 6- to 18-speed transmissions.
- Lots of accessories: grilles, headlights, bumpers, visors, exhausts, mud flaps, light bars, tanks and more.
- Wheel pack, original and DLC steering wheels, paint jobs and a template.
- Compatible with SiSL’s Mega Pack, the Cabin Accessories DLC and the author’s Wrecker DLC.
How to buy it
It costs $35 and you pay by card on byjonruda.com. Within a few minutes it shows up in your account under “My modifications,” along with a video and picture installation guide. Updates are downloaded from the same account.
Version
Version 5.10, from September 19, 2026, works from 1.58 to 1.61, according to the author’s website.

How to install it
- Go to the Pete 362 Cabover page on byjonruda.com and complete the purchase by card.
- Within a few minutes the mod appears in your account, under “My modifications.”
- Download version 5.10 and copy the .scs file to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- Enable it in the Mod Manager; if you use SiSL's Mega Pack, keep it enabled too.
- Find the truck at the brand's dealer, configure it and buy it.
- To update, download the new version from your account.
