What this mod does
The Pete 579 NG is Jon Ruda’s paid recreation of the new-generation Peterbilt 579, the brand’s aerodynamic long-haul truck. It’s a standalone truck with its own model, and it doesn’t replace the 579 that comes with ATS.

According to the website, the author made the models and textures himself and brought them into the game with ZModeler 3.
How to buy it
It costs $30 and you pay by card on byjonruda.com; it’s also part of the Pete Trilogy Bundle. Within a few minutes it shows up in your account under “My modifications,” where you also download updates.

Version 2.9, from September 19, 2026, works from 1.58 to 1.61. The website doesn’t list the file size or a changelog.

How to install it
- Go to the Pete 579 NG page on byjonruda.com and complete the purchase by card.
- Within a few minutes the mod appears in your account, under “My modifications.”
- Download version 2.9 and copy the .scs file to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- Enable it in the Mod Manager; if you use SiSL's Mega Pack, keep it enabled too.
- Find the truck at the brand's dealer, configure it and buy it.
- To update, download the new version from your account.
