What this mod does
Real Powertrains – Engines & Transmissions, by Ipc10086, adds real engines and transmissions to the four cars of the Road Trip: Ford DLC as optional shop parts. The stock parts remain available and the mod doesn’t overwrite anything.
Engines
- 2024 Bronco: 3.0 EcoBoost V6 from the Bronco Raptor, 418 hp and 440 lb-ft.
- 2023 F-150: 400 hp 3.5 EcoBoost V6 and 325 hp 2.7 EcoBoost V6.
- 1967 Mustang: 335 hp 428 Cobra Jet V8.
- 2006 Crown Victoria: four-valve 4.6 from the Marauder (302 hp) and 4.6 Police Interceptor P71 (250 hp).
Transmissions
Two 4-speed Toploader manuals (wide and close ratio) with a 3.50 final drive, and the 4-speed 4R75W police transmission with 3.55. The author says the gear ratios and final drives are the production ones, the power figures are those published by the manufacturer, and the torque curves are normalized to peak-torque rpm, as the game does.

How to install it
- Open the "Real Powertrains - Engines & Transmissions" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Go to the Mod Manager in your profile and enable "Real Powertrains - Engines & Transmissions".
- Open My Cars, pick the Ford and click Configure to choose one of the new engines or transmissions.
