What this mod does
Road Trip Cruise Speed Hold, by Codeman91, changes how cruise control behaves on the four cars of the Road Trip: Ford DLC. In the base game, when you go down a slope with cruise control on, the car picks up speed above the set value; with this mod, it holds the speed you chose downhill too.
Compatible cars
- 2024 Ford Bronco
- 2023 Ford F-150
- 1967 Ford Mustang
- 2006 Ford Crown Victoria
How to use it
You enable it in the Mod Manager and there’s nothing to configure: set the cruise control to whatever speed you want and the mod takes care of holding it on descents. It’s by the same author as the cab lights and zero fuel consumption mods for these cars, and he answers questions on his Discord server.
Known issues
One user reports that, on the Crown Victoria, the car brakes abruptly instead of slowing down gradually when the cruise control kicks in. Published September 30, 2026, it weighs 52 KB and has over 330 subscribers. It doesn’t state a game version, although it was published with 1.61 current.
