What this mod does
Trail King Schnabel is a free trailer by Pinga, an author known for his heavy haul trailers for American Truck Simulator. It recreates Trail King’s Schnabel system, the type of trailer used for huge, very long components, like the ones you see in special transports of wind turbine or industrial parts.
What it includes
- Schnabel trailer based on Trail King’s Schnabel System model.
- Several axle configurations to suit the rig you want to build.

The invisible axle trick
SCS’s trailer system isn’t designed for a Schnabel, so the author had to use a workaround: when configuring it you need to pick the right chassis and, if the axle ends up in the wrong position, select the invisible axle. If the trailer looks out of place or has axles in odd spots, this is almost always why.

How to install it
- Open the Trail King Schnabel page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Wait for Steam to download the file (almost 800 MB).
- Launch ATS and enable the mod in the Mod Manager.
- Buy the trailer at the trailer dealer and configure it.
- If the axle ends up in the wrong place with the chassis you picked, select the invisible axle.
- Hook it up to a truck with enough power and test the rig before taking a job.

Common problems
The trailer looks wrong or has an axle out of place
SCS's system doesn't support this type of trailer: choose another chassis or select the invisible axle, as the author explains.

No. Pinga sells other trailers on his website, but this one is free and downloads from Steam Workshop.
