What this mod does
Add-on Realistic Cargo Weight — Full Trailer Unlock is an add-on by LKN194 for his Realistic Cargo Weight mod. It unlocks the official trailer combinations the game restricts to certain states and keeps the cargo weights from the main mod.
What it unlocks
- Long trailers, doubles, B-Doubles, Rocky Mountain Doubles, Turnpike Doubles and triples.
- You can buy them and assign them to garages in states where they weren’t allowed before.
- It removes local restrictions on jobs with your own trailer or the company’s; whether jobs show up still depends on the cargo, the companies and the economy.
- It includes the trailers from any official DLC you have installed.
It doesn’t add new trailers or change accessory prices, models or physics.
Requirements and load order
It doesn’t work on its own: you need Realistic Cargo Weight 1.5x or 2x (only one active) and you have to place this add-on above it. The description asks for version 1.8.1 or later in one place and 1.2 in another. It has optional Convoy support, and when you disable it the original restrictions come back.
Version
It was published on October 12, 2026. The description doesn’t list a game version, but the main mod is compatible with 1.60 and 1.61 according to its author.

How to install it
- Open the "Add-on Realistic Cargo Weight — Full Trailer Unlock" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Open the Mod Manager in your profile and enable "Add-on Realistic Cargo Weight — Full Trailer Unlock".
- Make sure Realistic Cargo Weight 1.5x or 2x is enabled (only one).
- Place this add-on above Realistic Cargo Weight in the list.
- Buy the double or triple trailer at the dealer and assign it to your garage.

Does it work without Realistic Cargo Weight?
No. It needs the 1.5x or 2x version enabled below it.

No, it unlocks the official trailers the game restricts by state.
I don't notice any change
The author suggests checking the load order, making sure Realistic Cargo Weight is installed and that no other mod already unlocks those trailers.
