What this mod does
Triples & Doubles Unlocked is Punicron’s mod that removes per-state restrictions on long trailers in American Truck Simulator. In the base game, doubles and triples are only allowed in some states; with this mod you can use them across the whole map. It has been on the Steam Workshop since 2017 and has over 26,000 subscribers.
What it changes
- Allows triples, B-doubles, turnpike doubles and Rocky Mountain doubles in any state.
- All owned trailers and freight market trailers can be used everywhere.
- Includes long-wheelbase 53 ft trailers in California.
Version and limits
The author’s description lists compatibility with 1.61; the file was last updated on September 28, 2026. Not every company has enough yard space for these trailers, so long options only show up on jobs where both origin and destination have room to park them.
Mods by the same author
It works on its own, but pairs well with Freight Market B-Double Trailers and Freight Market Turnpike Doubles, which add these combinations to the freight market.
Known issues
In the comments, the author attributes some bugs to conflicts with other mods, especially those that change fuel prices by state. If diesel seems more expensive, the author explains that the mod uses the base game values.

Requirements
- American Truck Simulator updated to 1.61
- Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
- No DLC or other mods required
How to install it
- Open the "Triples & Doubles Unlocked" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to download the mod.
- In your profile's Mod Manager, enable "Triples & Doubles Unlocked".
- Load your save and look for double or triple jobs on the freight market, or hook up your own long trailers.
- If you want more combinations on the market, add Punicron's other two doubles mods.

Common problems
Why don't doubles show up on every job?
They only appear when both origin and destination have enough yard space for long trailers.
Do I need Punicron's other mods?
No. This one works on its own; the B-doubles and turnpike doubles mods add more options to the freight market.
My diesel price went up. Is that normal?
The author says the mod uses base game prices. If something seems off, check whether you have another per-state fuel mod.
