What this mod does
Injury Mod is a UI app that calculates what injuries the driver would have suffered in a crash. It reads the acceleration the car goes through in each impact, sampled at the game’s physics rate, and compares it with published crash test data to estimate the damage.
What it shows
- Named injuries by body region, with their severity and probability.
- A body silhouette colored by severity.
- Survival probability and a plain-language verdict.
- Restraint selector: seatbelt with airbag, seatbelt only or no seatbelt.
- A per-impact report when the crash involves several hits.
Realistic mode
It’s optional and off by default. It adds blackouts, blurred vision, ear effects, loss of vehicle control and bleeding that gets worse over time. It includes a first aid kit that stops the bleeding, but it won’t fix broken bones.
What’s new in 1.04
The latest version supports up to four occupants, each with a seatbelt, harness or helmet and their own survival probability. It also takes roof crush into account and, in rollovers, arm and leg injuries, not just head injuries.
Compatibility
The author doesn’t list a game version. It was released in August 2026 and updated on October 19, the same day 0.40 came out, but the mod page doesn’t confirm that it works on it. The percentages are estimates, and the author warns there may be bugs.
User rating
Highlights and things to keep in mind
- Gives crashes meaning with a detailed injury report
- Up to four occupants with different restraint systems
- Over 57,000 downloads and a 4.5 out of 5 rating
- It carries the Experimental tag and the author warns of possible bugs
- The subject (injuries and deaths in crashes) may not be for everyone
- The current game version is 0.40 (released October 19, 2026): the mod doesn't list it and may need an update; after a major update the game disables mods and you have to re-enable them

Common problems
Does it show graphic images?
The mod page describes injury names (like skull fracture or internal bleeding), a colored silhouette and percentages; it doesn't mention explicit images.
Does it work for passengers?
Yes: since version 1.04 it calculates up to four occupants, each with a seatbelt, harness or helmet.
Are the percentages reliable?
They're estimates based on crash test research; the author warns it's a first version and may have bugs.
