600kW Recharge: 600 kW fast charging for electric trucks for Euro Truck Simulator 2

What this mod does

600kW Recharge, by KennyPete, changes how electric trucks recharge in Euro Truck Simulator 2. It has over 46,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.

What it changes

• Recharging with F7 goes up to 600 kW, at a price of €0.28 per kW according to the page, and takes 3 hours.
• Sleep time drops to 6 hours.
• It doesn’t touch anything else in the economy.

Recharging with F7 only works with the battery at 15% or less. It works with the Scania and Renault electric trucks, but you need another mod to be able to buy them; the author links one for each brand on the mod’s page. There’s also a 500 kW version.

Compatibility

It isn’t compatible with other economy mods. The title says it works from 1.50 to 1.59. In a note on the page, the author warns that 1.60 changes resting and time skipping a lot, and that a different solution may be needed. One player said it only recharged 100 kW for them.

Use it in single-player only: it changes the economy and resting, so don’t take it into multiplayer.

Requirements

• Euro Truck Simulator 2
• A Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
• A Scania or Renault electric truck and the mod that lets you buy it (linked by the author)
• Don't use with other economy mods

How to install it

1. Open the “600kW Recharge” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
2. Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and wait for Steam to finish the download.
3. Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
4. With the battery at 15% or less, press F7 to recharge.
