What this mod does
Scania NG R / S Adjustable Fifth Wheel is a mod by chuan that lets you place the fifth wheel of SCS’s next-generation Scania R and S wherever you want. You adjust it in the garage, using an accessory slot located above the fifth wheel, in 50 mm steps forward or backward.
Chassis and positions
- 6×2, 6×2/4 and 6×2/4 with a center lift axle: 8 positions, from 660 to 1010 mm ahead of the last axle.
- 4×2: 12 positions, from 210 to 760 mm ahead of the last axle.
- Long 6×2, long 6×2 with a rear lift axle, long 6×4 and 8×4/4: 13 positions, from 90 to 690 mm behind the first drive axle.
What else it fixes
The fifth wheel and its bolts move together, and the trailer coupling point and the advanced coupling collision zones adjust automatically. It also fixes a small stock offset between the actual coupling point and the fifth wheel model.
Compatibility
The author marks it as compatible with 1.61. It includes patches for the Mighty Griffin and Dutch Style DLCs, but it may conflict with other DLCs or mods that change these Scanias’ chassis. It was last updated on October 22, 2026 and is only published on Steam Workshop.

Requirements

- No DLC or other mods needed
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable "Scania NG R / S Adjustable Fifth Wheel" and load your save.
- Take your Scania R or S to a garage and open truck customization.
- In the accessory slot above the fifth wheel, pick the position you want.
