What this mod does
DBM Engine & Transmissions Refresh is the engine and gearbox mod in Claude Shannon’s DBM series. It expands the options for ETS2’s 23 stock trucks without changing how they drive at their core.
What it adds
- 92 engines from 410 to 775 hp in two lines: SUPER EVO, built for power and heavy loads, and FE Line, built for lower fuel consumption.
- Extra torque in the three highest gears and a three-stage engine brake with automatic downshifting.
- FE 25-speed dual-clutch gearboxes, EVO and PowerBoost 25-speed gearboxes with a torque converter, and a 60-gear CVT meant for fun, not realism.
- EVO 4×4 chassis for every compatible truck and 38 new 6×6 and 8×8 chassis.
- An experimental gasoline V12 engine with about 900 hp.
Compatibility
It’s built and tested for 1.61; the author confirms it doesn’t work on 1.60. It conflicts with other mods that change engines or gearboxes on the same trucks and doesn’t cover modded trucks. Before removing it, sell or swap out its engines, gearboxes and chassis, or your trucks may cause problems in your save.
Load order
The author recommends placing it in the upper group of his DBM mods and keeping maps below all of them. Last updated: September 29, 2026.

- Very lightweight file
- Not compatible with other engine or gearbox mods for the same trucks
- Removing it without selling its parts first can damage trucks in your save
