What this mod does
Volvo FH5 / FH6 Adjustable Fifth Wheel is the Volvo version of chuan’s adjustable fifth wheel mod. It adds new fifth wheel positions for fifth- and sixth-generation Volvo FH trucks, which you pick in the garage through the accessory slot above it. Each position moves the fifth wheel 50 mm forward or backward.
Supported chassis
- 6×2 with a center lift axle and 6×2/4 with a center lift axle: 13 positions (including the stock one), up to 300 mm forward or backward.
- 6×2 with a rear lift axle, 6×2 with a rear steering axle and 6×4: 18 positions, up to 700 mm forward or 150 mm backward.
- The 4×2 and 8×4/4 chassis aren’t included.
What it adjusts
The fifth wheel moves together with its mounting bolts, and the trailer coupling point and the advanced coupling collision zones reposition automatically. Like the Scania version, it also fixes an offset between the actual coupling point and the model.
Compatibility
The author lists compatibility with 1.61 and patches for the Volvo tuning DLCs and Dutch Style. It doesn’t work alongside other mods that change the Volvo chassis. Last updated: October 22, 2026.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 updated to version 1.61
- A fifth- or sixth-generation Volvo FH with a supported chassis
- No DLC or other mods needed
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable "Volvo FH5 / FH6 Adjustable Fifth Wheel" and load your save.
- Take your Volvo FH to a garage and open customization.
- Pick the fifth wheel position in the accessory slot above it.
Common problems
Does it work on the 4x2?
No: the 4x2 and 8x4/4 chassis aren't included.
How far forward can I move the fifth wheel?
Up to 700 mm on the 6x2 with a rear lift or steering axle and on the 6x4.
Is there a Scania version?
Yes, the same author publishes a version for the next-generation Scania R and S.
