What this mod does
AirSeat Ride is a physics mod by Eddie Yantz for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It adds more movement to the driver’s view and the truck cab, so driving with the interior camera feels more like sitting on an air-suspension seat.
What it does
- More movement in the driver’s view inside the cab, designed for the interior camera.
- Works with SCS trucks; with modded trucks it may or may not work, depending on how they’re made.
- If you bounce up and down too much, the author explains that raising the horizon_locking_factor value reduces the driver’s vertical movement.
Version
The mod doesn’t depend on a specific version, and the author has kept checking it across many game versions. On September 26, 2026 they noted that it works on 1.61. Since June 2022 it has been flagged as an optional mod for multiplayer. There’s also a version for American Truck Simulator.
Compatibility
The same effect is built into the author’s Normal Surfaces and Slippery Surfaces physics mods, so if you already use one of them, you already have this effect. If you don’t notice any change, the author recommends moving it up in the Mod Manager and checking whether another physics mod is overriding it.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 updated to version 1.61
- No DLC or other mods needed
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading.
- Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable “AirSeat Ride”.
- If you don't notice the effect, move it up in the Mod Manager list and make sure no other physics mod is overriding it.
- Drive with the interior camera to feel the seat and cab movement.
