What this mod does
Improved Suspension is a physics mod by Vaq3r that, despite the name, touches much more than the suspension. It was released in September 2025, has more than 160,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop, and the author lists it as compatible with ETS2 1.60.
What it changes
- Cab: springs, anti-roll bar, travel and weight. Pitch and roll come from averaging a Volvo FH16, a Scania S and a Mercedes New Actros.
- Tires: dry and wet grip based on two real 315/70 R22.5 tires, plus wheel weight and slip.
- Drivetrain and brakes: torque converter, clutch, flywheel inertia and 60/40 brake balance.
- Aerodynamic and rolling resistance, steering ratio, fifth wheel, interior camera and force feedback.
Recommended settings
The author suggests truck stability at 20 %, cab suspension stiffness at 35 %, suspension at 30 %, axle torque at 27 %, braking intensity at 80 % and trailer stability at 35 %. He also gives values for force feedback wheels.
Compatibility
It works with SCS trucks and with modded trucks that don’t come with their own physics. Don’t combine it with other physics mods, such as Realistic Truck Physics.

Common problems

Can the trailer tip over?
The author warns that the trailer damping setting can make it tip over more easily.
