What this mod does
Greek Traffic Density + Realism is a traffic preset by Kwstakis for Euro Truck Simulator 2, tuned mainly for the Greece DLC map. It aims for livelier Greek roads: more vehicles in cities, on highways, at tolls, ports and junctions, and fewer empty stretches between cities.
What it changes
- Much denser spawn rules for cars, vans, trucks and buses.
- More impatient and slightly less cautious AI.
- More road events than in the base game, without closures that force long detours.
- A mix of local traffic with taxis, vans, buses and medium trucks.
Compatibility
The author designed and tested it for Greece, but its rules are global: with the mod enabled, there will also be more traffic in other countries. If it feels like too much outside Greece, disable it. The author confirmed on September 21, 2026 that it works on 1.61.
Load order
Put it above other traffic mods if you want its settings to take priority, and avoid using several density mods at once.
Performance
More active AI means more CPU, RAM and GPU usage, especially near Athens, Thessaloniki, the ports and the tolls. On modest PCs you may see FPS drops, stutters or AI traffic jams. The author presents it as a test version.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable the mod and place it above other traffic mods.
- Drive through Greece and disable it if traffic feels excessive outside it.
Common problems
Does it only affect Greece?
No: the rules are global and also increase traffic in other countries.
Can I use it with another density mod?
The author recommends not using several density mods at once.
