Euro Truck Simulator 2 doesn’t exist for Android: it isn’t on the Play Store, there’s no official APK and SCS Software hasn’t announced any mobile version. The game is only released for PC on Windows, macOS, Linux and SteamOS, and it has announced versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Any «ETS2 APK», «ETS2 mobile» or «Euro Truck Simulator 2 for Android» you find online is another game in disguise, a pirated copy or malware. If you want to drive your ETS2 trucks on your phone, the legal way is to stream the game from your PC with Steam Link or play it in the cloud with your Steam copy.
Which platforms ETS2 is actually on
The game’s official page on the SCS website lists four platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux and SteamOS. It’s sold on Steam, which is the store the official website points to, and it has a free demo (we explain it in download the official Euro Truck Simulator 2). The only new thing on the horizon is consoles: in 2025 SCS confirmed the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, which as of October 22, 2026 still have no date, as we explain in ETS2 on PS5 and Xbox.
For phones, nothing. SCS doesn’t have any ETS2 app on Google Play or the App Store, and if it ever did, it would announce it on its official blog and publish it on the official stores, not on a download site.

Watch out for one detail: there are legitimate simulators on the Play Store with very similar names. Euro Truck Driver 2018, for example, is a free game by Ovidiu Pop with multiplayer, and it has no connection to SCS. There’s nothing wrong with playing it, but don’t expect to find ETS2 there.
How to spot a fake app in 30 seconds
- Check the developer. Who publishes the app appears under its name. SCS Software doesn’t have ETS2 on the Play Store, so any listing claiming to be ETS2 belongs to someone else.
- Be wary of «mod», «unlimited money» or «premium unlocked». These are altered versions of other games and are distributed outside the store.
- If it asks you to enable «unknown sources» to install ETS2, you know it’s not official: an official game installs from the Play Store.
- Review the permissions. A trucking game doesn’t need to read your texts or contacts or use accessibility features.
If you’ve already installed an ETS2 APK
- Uninstall it from your phone’s settings.
- Open the Play Store, tap your profile picture and go to Play Protect. This Google service scans installed apps for harmful software and can disable them.
- Change the password on your important accounts, starting with Google and Steam, and turn on two-step verification.
- If your phone keeps showing strange ads or runs slowly, check which apps have administrator or accessibility permissions and remove the ones you don’t recognize.
How to play ETS2 on your phone legally
There are two ways, and both start from the same place: owning Euro Truck Simulator 2 on your Steam account.

Steam Link: your PC game on your phone
The ETS2 Steam page lists «Remote Play on Phone» and «Remote Play on Tablet», meaning Valve confirms it can be streamed to those devices. Here’s how:
- Install Steam Link, Valve Corporation’s free app, from the Play Store.
- Open Steam on your PC with the same account.
- Open Steam Link on your phone, let it find your PC and enter on the computer the PIN that appears on your phone.
- Connect a Bluetooth controller to your phone. Valve recommends a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network for phones and tablets.
- Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 from your library.
The advantage is that you play your full ETS2, with DLCs, maps like ProMods and any mod. For smooth performance, connect your PC to the router with a cable.
GeForce NOW: no PC needed
Euro Truck Simulator 2 can be played on GeForce NOW, NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service, with the Steam version. NVIDIA even used it in 2021 to promote a test-drive experience of the new DAF XF. According to NVIDIA, it works on Android from version 7.0 and on iPhone or iPad from iOS 15.4, and it requires at least 15 Mbps to play in HD. Before paying for a plan, confirm the game is still in the catalog, because cloud services add and remove titles.
If you’d rather have a trucking game made for phones
