ETS2 DLC list: all map expansions and which to buy first

Every Euro Truck Simulator 2 map DLC in release order, from Going East! to Nordic Horizons, what ProMods requires and why to start with Iberia.

Updated: 23 Oct 2026

Euro Truck Simulator 2 has ten map expansions on sale: Going East!, Scandinavia, Vive la France!, Italia, Beyond the Baltic Sea, Road to the Black Sea, Iberia, West Balkans, Greece and Nordic Horizons, the most recent one (November 2025). Three more have been announced with no release date: Iceland, Isle of Ireland and Soul of Anatolia. If you’re playing from Spain, the first DLC worth getting is Iberia, which adds Spain and Portugal. Below you’ll find the full list in release order, the other types of DLC and which ones you need for the most popular community maps.

Every ETS2 map expansion in order

Each map expansion is a separate paid DLC: you can buy only the ones you’re interested in, and the base game keeps working just the same. The dates come from each DLC’s Steam page.

Map DLC Year Region it adds
Going East! 2013 Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary
Scandinavia 2015 Denmark, Norway and Sweden
Vive la France! 2016 France
Italia 2017 Italy
Beyond the Baltic Sea 2018 Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, southern Finland and western Russia
Road to the Black Sea 2019 Romania, Bulgaria and the European part of Turkey
Iberia 2021 Spain and Portugal
West Balkans 2023 Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia
Greece 2024 Mainland Greece and several islands
Nordic Horizons 2025 Northern Norway, Sweden and Finland (Lapland, Arctic fjords, North Cape)
Iceland Announced Iceland, with the Ring Road
Isle of Ireland Announced Ireland and Northern Ireland
Soul of Anatolia Announced The Asian part of Turkey (Ankara, Izmir, Antalya)

The last three have a Steam page but no release date yet. There’s also a special case: Heart of Russia, a Russia expansion that SCS Software announced and then shelved indefinitely in 2022 after the invasion of Ukraine. It isn’t for sale.

What each map expansion includes

  • Going East!: the first expansion. It takes the map into Eastern Europe with 15 new cities.
  • Scandinavia: Nordic cities, ferry routes and new cargo types. Its area was rebuilt for free in update 1.57.
  • Vive la France!: all of France, from industrial cities to villages with narrow streets.
  • Italia: 22 cities and regional industries spread across the whole peninsula.
  • Beyond the Baltic Sea: more than 13,000 km of roads and 24 cities in the Baltics.
  • Road to the Black Sea: 20 cities and more than 10,000 km of roads across Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.
  • Iberia: the Iberian Peninsula, from Madrid and Málaga to Lisbon, with landscapes ranging from the southeastern desert to the northern forests, and views of the Rock of Gibraltar from Algeciras.
  • West Balkans: eight countries, 14 cities such as Split and Belgrade, and more than 20 border crossings.
  • Greece: about 14 cities between the mainland and the islands.
  • Nordic Horizons: 40 cities and about 30 villages in northern Scandinavia, with fjords, tunnels and the northern lights.

Apart from DLC, SCS rebuilds parts of the base map for free in its updates (Austria, Switzerland, Germany and the Benelux, among others), so the map without expansions also gets better over time.

Other types of Euro Truck Simulator 2 DLC

Besides maps, the store has more than a hundred smaller DLCs. They don’t change the map, but they do change what you drive, what you haul or how your truck looks:

  • Cabin accessories: the Cabin Accessories DLC (2015) adds items to decorate the interior, and many brand packs include their own accessories.
  • Paint jobs: themed livery packs for trucks and trailers, such as Hungarian Paint Jobs Pack, Street Art Paint Jobs Pack and Greek Mythology Pack.
  • Trailers: licensed trailers from real manufacturers, such as Schmitz Cargobull, Kögel and Kässbohrer Trailer Pack.
  • Tuning: parts to customize specific models or tuning styles, such as XF Tuning Pack, FH Tuning Pack, HS-Schoch Tuning Pack and Holland Style Tuning Pack (June 2026).
  • Cargo: packs that add new goods, such as Special Transport (oversized loads with an escort), JCB Equipment Pack, Farm Machinery, Forest Machinery and Bobcat Cargo Pack.
  • Trucks: licensed models that don’t come in the base game, such as Volvo FH Series 6, Iveco S-Way, DAF XD, Scania S BEV and DAF XF Electric.

SCS has also announced Coaches, a bus DLC with scheduled passenger transport, still without a release date.

Which DLC ProMods and other community maps need

The big free maps build on the official expansions and won’t load if you’re missing any of them. ProMods, the most popular, requires all ten map DLCs in its official tutorial for version 2.80: Going East!, Scandinavia, Vive la France!, Italia, Beyond the Baltic Sea, Road to the Black Sea, Iberia, West Balkans, Greece and Nordic Horizons. Special Transport is optional but compatible. The list may grow with each version, so check it on promods.net before downloading. You’ll find the full process in the guide to installing ProMods in ETS2.

Add-ons that run on top of ProMods inherit those requirements. For example, Iberia ProMods Rework and Portugal Rebuild need ProMods and therefore Iberia and every other DLC ProMods requires. Before installing any map from the ETS2 maps list, always check its mod page for the DLC it needs.

Which DLC to buy first if you play from Spain

  1. Iberia: the obvious choice. You drive on highways you know, through Spanish and Portuguese cities, and it’s also a requirement for ProMods and nearly every map mod focused on the peninsula.
  2. Vive la France!: expands France, the neighboring country, and gives you long routes between the peninsula and the rest of Europe.
  3. Italia or Scandinavia: two of the expansions with the most varied scenery and the most routes.
  4. If you plan to end up playing with ProMods, keep completing the rest of the map expansions, because you’ll need them all.

Steam often discounts SCS DLC during its seasonal sales, and there are bundles that group several maps together. We don’t list prices because they change often; check the store when you’re ready to buy.

Frequently asked questions

Is Spain included in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 base game?

No. Spain and Portugal come with the paid Iberia DLC, released in 2021. Without it you can’t drive on the peninsula with the official map.

What’s the latest ETS2 map DLC?

Nordic Horizons, released on November 27, 2025, which adds northern Norway, Sweden and Finland. Iceland, Isle of Ireland and Soul of Anatolia have been announced but have no release date.

Can I play with friends if we don’t have the same DLC?

Yes, in the official Convoy mode: you don’t need any DLC to join a session, but you won’t be able to enter the areas of DLCs you don’t own.

What happened to the Heart of Russia DLC?

SCS shelved it indefinitely in 2022 because of the invasion of Ukraine. It never went on sale.

Do I need all the DLC to use ProMods?

You need every map expansion that ProMods lists for its current version. Paint job, tuning, trailer and truck DLCs aren’t required.
