What this mod does
Realistischer Autobahn-Verkehr & KI-Flow Fix is a mod by German modder lippstadt78 that reorganizes Euro Truck Simulator 2 traffic so highways look like real freight routes and the AI flows more smoothly.
What it changes
- Removes police, fire trucks, ambulances, tow trucks and roadside assistance from traffic spawning.
- Classic cars, tractors and combine harvesters only appear in villages and on local roads.
- Buses spawn much less often and disappear from highways.
- Increases the share of trucks in traffic.
- On Sundays truck traffic drops, except for reefers.
- The AI is less patient and changes lanes with different timing.
Version and compatibility
Version 2.25 is for ETS2 1.61 and later. The author declares it compatible with the most popular maps, such as ProMods, Euroadnet and German Regions. The latest update is from October 25, 2026 and the mod has more than 80 change notes, so it’s updated often.
Installation and load order
Place it at the very top of the Mod Manager. On the first trip, the author asks you to use the console: first g_traffic 0 and then a high value, to clear the old AI data. The description is in German.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable the mod and move it to the very top.
- On the first trip, open the console and type g_traffic 0; then raise g_traffic back to a high value to clear the old AI data.

Yes, the author declares it compatible with ProMods, Euroadnet and German Regions.
Why don't I see ambulances or police?
The mod deliberately removes them from traffic spawning.
