What this mod does

Aegos is a Mythos-rarity bow whose arrows seek out enemies on their own. It has four abilities and can’t be crafted: you have to get it as loot, which makes it an endgame goal.

Abilities

Seeking arrows (primary attack): they rise, arc and turn toward the nearest enemy. Each hit leaves a 20-second mark.
Dash (right-click): a burst of speed in the direction you choose that reloads your ammo and costs a little mana.
Chain detonation (E): lightning jumps through every marked enemy; the more marks, the longer the chain.
Storm Nock (Q, ultimate): with the signature bar charged, you fire 30 fast arrows that chase nearby enemies and that you guide with your crosshair.

How to get it

Without other mods, it’s a very rare drop from the burnt skeleton archer. With Endgame & QoL installed, its bosses drop it rarely. Admins can add Weapon_Bow_Aegos to shops, banks or merchants, and since 1.3.0 adjust damage and drop chance with /aegos config.

V1.7 (August 30, 2026) is for Hytale 0.6. With Update 7 (0.7), released October 12, 2026, wait for the author to publish a compatible file before using it on an important world.

Checked on October 20, 2026: the author hasn’t published a file tagged for Hytale 0.7 (Update 7) on CurseForge yet. We’ll check again and update this page as soon as it’s out.

How to install it

Open the Aegos - Seeking Bow page on CurseForge and click Install to install it with the CurseForge app, or download Aegos V1.7 from the Files tab (the file tagged 0.6).
If you download it manually, copy the .jar file as is into your mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
Open Hytale, right-click the world, tick Aegos in the mod list and save the world settings.
On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
If you're an admin, use /aegos config to adjust damage and drop chance.
