What this mod does

CoreProtect is the logging and anti-griefing tool that has been running on Minecraft servers since 2012, now with a Hytale edition. If someone wrecks a build or empties someone else’s chest, you’ll know who did it and be able to put everything back the way it was.

What it logs

  • Blocks broken and placed by players.
  • Bucket use and liquid flow.
  • Interactions and items taken from or put into chests.
  • Chat messages and commands.

Inspector and rollback

With /co i you turn on the inspector: left-click a block to see who placed it, right-click to see removed blocks, and press F on a container to see its transactions. Admins can roll back the damage done by a player or in an area, and undo the rollback if they make a mistake. It’s multithreaded, saves to SQLite, supports MySQL and needs no configuration.

Version 3.0 (September 3, 2026) adds support for the 0.6 server, translations and new search filters.

This mod page has been reviewed for Hytale 0.7 (Update 7). With Update 7 (0.7), released on October 12, 2026, the author has already released a file for the new version: 3.1, from October 14, 2026.

Requirements

  • Hytale 0.7 server (file CoreProtect-Hytale-3.1.jar)
  • No dependencies
  • Optional: a MySQL server if you don't want to use the built-in SQLite database

How to install it

  1. Download CoreProtect-Hytale-3.1.jar from the Files tab of CoreProtect on CurseForge (the file tagged 0.6).
  2. For a dedicated server, stop it and copy the .jar as is, without unzipping it, into the server's mods folder.
  3. Start the server once so the mod's config folder is generated, and review its .json files.
  4. To test it in a single-player world, copy it into %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods and enable it in the world settings (right-click the world).
  5. Give CoreProtect permissions only to your moderation team and test the inspector with /co i on a placed block.

Common problems

Does it log what happened before it was installed?

No. It only records actions from the moment the plugin is active, so it's best to install it before opening the server.

Can I undo a rollback?

Yes. CoreProtect lets you revert any rollback at any time.

Does it use a lot of resources?

It's multithreaded so it doesn't slow down the server. With lots of players, consider using MySQL instead of SQLite.

Is it paid?

No. The CurseForge download is free; the Patreon is only to support development.
