Hyper Capture Crate for Hytale

What this mod does

Hyper Capture Crate adds an upgraded capture crate that catches almost any creature: passive, neutral and aggressive. You can use it to bring cows to your farm, but also bears, wolves or skeletons.

How to use it

• Recipe: 4 wood (any type) and 50 Life Essence at the Farming Bench, with a 2-second crafting time. It also shows up at the PJMods Bench.
• Walk up to the creature and use the crate on it.
• Since 1.1.0, the game’s Capture Crate is back to its normal behavior: extended capture only works with the Hyper Capture Crate.

Requirements and Update 7

The Relations tab marks PJ CoreLib as required. Version 1.1.6, from October 12, 2026, is the file for 0.7. According to the description, some creatures, such as mosshorns and lizards, can’t be captured yet. It also says nothing about the redesigned goblins or the Void creatures that Update 7 brings, so test it before counting on them. On servers, just drop the zip into the mods folder and restart; if your server uses a mod list, add PJ-HyperCaptureCrate. For deeper taming and breeding, check out Alec’s Tamework.

Requirements

• Hytale (Early Access) on PC or server, version 0.7 (file PJ-HyperCaptureCrate-1.1.6.zip)
• PJ CoreLib (required)
• 50 Life Essence and 4 wood per crate

How to install it

1. Open the Hyper Capture Crate page on CurseForge and click Install to set it up with the CurseForge app, or download PJ-HyperCaptureCrate-1.1.6.zip from the Files tab (the file marked 0.7).
2. If you download it manually, copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
3. Also install PJ CoreLib the same way (it's required).
4. Open Hytale, right-click the world, check Hyper Capture Crate in the mod list and save the world settings.
5. On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
6. Craft the Hyper Capture Crate at the Farming Bench and use it on the creature you want to catch.
