What this mod does
Thorium Furnaces is the companion to Thorium Chests: instead of chests, it adds eleven furnaces made from the metals you find in Orbis. The better the metal, the faster the furnace smelts, so you stop waiting in front of the basic furnace every time you come back from the mine.
Speed of each furnace
- Copper: 1.1x.
- Iron: 1.2x.
- Gold: 1.33x.
- Thorium and onyxium: 1.4x.
- Bronze: 1.6x.
- Cobalt: 2x.
- Adamantite: 2.8x.
- Silver: 5x.
- Mithril and prisma: 10x.
How to get them
They’re all crafted at the Workbench. They work like the regular furnace, just faster. The progression follows the game’s own: you start with a copper or iron one and, once you reach the endgame metals, you jump to silver or mithril, which multiply the speed.
Who it’s for
For anyone who smelts large amounts of ore, solo or on servers with lots of players, and for anyone already using Thorium Chests who wants a consistent base. The author’s official video shows both mods. Version 1.0.6, from September 1, 2026, is the one adapted for Update 6.
Checked on October 20, 2026: the author hasn’t yet released a file on CurseForge tagged for Hytale 0.7 (Update 7). We’ll check again and update this page as soon as it’s out.

Requirements
- Hytale (Early Access) on PC, version 0.6 for version 1.0.6 of the mod
- Enable the mod in the world settings or install it on the server
- No other mods needed
How to install it
- Open the Thorium Furnaces page on CurseForge and click Install to install it with the CurseForge app, or download the file Thorium-Furnaces-1.0.6.zip for version 0.6 from the Files tab.
- If you download it manually, copy the file as is (without unzipping it) into the mods folder: on Windows %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
- Open Hytale, right-click the world where you want to use it, tick Thorium Furnaces in the mod list and save the world settings.
- On a dedicated server, place the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
- In game, look for the new furnaces in the Workbench recipes; each one requires the matching metal.

Common problems
Which furnace is the fastest?
The mithril and prisma ones, 10 times faster than the regular one. The silver one already runs at 5x.
Where are they crafted?
At the Workbench.
Does it need Thorium Chests?
No. They're separate mods by the same author, although they go well together.
