What this mod does
Multi Yield Crops is a framework by Cherry, now maintained by Pathoschild, that lets a crop give additional items when harvested. It works both for base-game crops and for those added by other mods.
How it works
- On its own it does nothing: it kicks in when you install a content pack that uses it.
- Harvest rules (which crop, which extra item and how many) are defined in a content pack or in the
config.jsonthe mod generates. - There’s a technical guide on GitHub for anyone who wants to create their own rules.
- It doesn’t modify your save: if you remove it, the extra harvests simply stop appearing.
Do I need it?
Only if another mod asks for it on its requirements tab. According to Nexus, around twenty mods depend on it, mostly crop packs that add by-products or seeds on harvest. If you want to use it on your own, you can write your own rules in config.json by following the guide.
Compatibility
Version 1.0.6 (March 15, 2026, 25 KB) requires Stardew Valley 1.6.15 or later and SMAPI 4.1.10 or later, on Windows, macOS and Linux. It works in single-player and multiplayer, and the page doesn’t flag any conflicts with other mods. It’s by the same author as Expanded Preconditions Utility and, like that one, Pathoschild maintains it for new versions. It has no text to translate.
