Wear More Rings for Stardew Valley

What this mod does

Wear More Rings expands your inventory’s ring slots. The game only lets you wear two (plus whatever the Forge allows by combining them); with this mod you wear six by default and can configure up to twenty, which opens up lots of options with luck, experience or combat rings.

Options and commands

• Rings: number of slots (maximum 20). The config file is created the first time you launch the game.
• BonusTrinket: gives two trinket slots instead of one (marked as untested).
• Console commands: player_openforge opens the Forge, and world_destroyringchests removes the internal chests where rings are stored and drops their contents at your feet.

Requirements and compatibility

Version 7.9 (May 28, 2025) was built with SMAPI 4.1.10 and Stardew Valley 1.6.15, and it needs the StardewHack framework by the same author. It has supported split-screen since 6.3. It doesn’t work on Android or mobile.

Known issues

The Forge doesn’t show the extra slots, it isn’t compatible with BalancedCombineManyRings, and with lots of slots some inventory text may overlap. It may cause problems with Multiplayer Time: the author recommends using player_resetmodifiers. There’s a Spain Spanish translation by Gonzy42 on Nexus.

Requirements

• Stardew Valley 1.6.x on PC (7.9 was built for 1.6.15)
• SMAPI 4.x (4.1.10 or later recommended)
• StardewHack
• Doesn't work on Android or mobile

How to install it

1. Install SMAPI first (see its mod page) and launch the game once with it to make sure it works.
2. Download and install StardewHack from its Nexus page (mod 3213) the same way, into the Mods folder.
3. Open the Wear More Rings page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Wear More Rings 7.9). You need a free Nexus account to download.
4. Extract the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
5. Launch the game with SMAPI, load your save and open your inventory: you'll see the extra ring slots. To change how many there are, edit Rings in config.json or use Generic Mod Config Menu.
