Drone Camera Pro for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

Drone Camera Pro is the pro version of Drone Camera, Tsuka1427’s drone-style camera for Assetto Corsa. It keeps the idea of flying freely around the cars but removes the main limitation of the first version: you no longer need an XInput controller. It was released in August 2023 and the author is still updating it in 2026.

Features

• Control with any gamepad, keyboard or mouse, with fully remappable bindings.
• Automatic tracking of the focused vehicle.
• Height limit so the camera doesn’t clip through the asphalt.
• Depth of field and field of view adjustment, with autofocus.
• Replay controls: pause, slow motion and fast forward.
• AutoMove, which records a camera move and plays it back later.

Performance

Some features use ray tracing and can be fairly demanding on your PC. To lighten the load, the author recommends setting the height-limit target to «None» and the autofocus target to «Car objects». For recording replays, he suggests Ultra quality (67 Hz).

Version

Versions 0.4.2 and 0.4.3, from September 2026, fix shutter speed tracking with Custom Shaders Patch. Some users report problems with certain CSP versions, so it’s a good idea to keep both up to date.

Requirements

• Free OverTake.gg account to download

How to install it

1. Install or update Custom Shaders Patch from Content Manager.
2. Go to the Drone Camera Pro page on OverTake.gg and log in.
3. Download the file (about 510 KB).
4. Drag it into Content Manager or copy its contents into your main Assetto Corsa folder.
5. Open the app on track or in a replay and bind the controls to your gamepad or keyboard.
6. Turn off other camera apps while you use it.
