Track Map Display for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

Track Map Display is one of Assetto Corsa’s veteran apps: Neys released it in October 2014 and it has over 100,000 downloads on OverTake.gg. It replaces the game’s built-in track map with one that always shows the full layout with every car on track.

What it brings

• A permanent view of the whole track, instead of the partial Kunos map.
• Every car in the session shown on the map.
• Map recording for mod tracks that don’t include their own.
• Different colors outside races for out-laps and for the car you’re spectating.

Version

The latest version, 1.16, is from May 2017. The most recent updates brought compatibility with version 1.3 of the game, color improvements in non-race sessions and a possible fix for a bug that made the app disappear.

A more modern alternative

If you use Custom Shaders Patch, there’s Track Map Display (Extended) by AW939, an expansion released with Neys’ permission and rewritten in Lua. It adds a minimap, a progress bar, class colors and automatic map generation from the AI line. The original is still useful if you want something simple with no dependencies.

Requirements

• Assetto Corsa for PC
• Python apps enabled in the game or in Content Manager
• Free OverTake.gg account to download

How to install it

1. Go to the Track Map Display page on OverTake.gg and log in.
2. Download the file (about 8 MB).
3. Copy its contents into your main Assetto Corsa folder.
4. Enable the app in the game under Settings > General or in the Content Manager Python apps.
5. On track, add the map from the apps sidebar.
6. On mod tracks without a map, use the app's recording feature by driving a full lap.
