What this mod does
tyres_app_ext is a tire app for Assetto Corsa by leBluem (Please Stop This on OverTake). It works as a regular tire app in the unmodded game and, with Custom Shaders Patch, it also shows the advanced physics values that CSP exposes on cars set up for it. Its source code is on GitHub and it’s still getting updates in 2026.
What it shows by default
- Slip angle and slip ratio with a circle and a triangle; the triangle turns red under braking and blue when you spin the wheels on throttle.
- Tire slip in rectangles that fade out at the edges.
- Self-aligning torque in small yellow triangles at the center of each wheel.
- Center indicator for steering plus front and rear drift angles.
Extra options
- Front and rear ride height (shown in white below 5 mm).
- G-forces, speeds and center-of-gravity height.
- Carcass, core and brake temperatures when the car simulates them with CSP custom physics.
Tips
Brake temperatures, pressures and units are set in Content Manager; everything else is set in-game. The more features you turn on, the more performance it costs. If a car doesn’t simulate carcass or brakes in CSP, those values won’t show up.

Common problems
I can't see carcass or brake temperatures
They only appear if the car simulates them with CSP custom physics.
Does it work without Custom Shaders Patch?
Yes, as a regular tire app, but without the advanced values.
It hurts my performance
Turn off extra features: the more you enable, the more it costs.
